Senior Championship

The seniors faced Swatragh in the championship qualifiers on Saturday and were made to rue conceding 2 soft first half goals as they were defeated on a scoreline of Newbridge 1-08 Swatragh 2-06.

Newbridge scorers were K Sweeney (1-01), N Rocks (0-03), M Bateson (0-02), C Brooks and E Burke (0-01 each).

Underage Championship

U16s – Newbridge 2-06 Steelstown 3-10

Minors – Newbridge 0-08 Slaughtneil 2-12

U14 championship game vs Magherafelt takes place in Ballinderry on Wednesday evening at 7pm.

All Ireland Weekend Draw

Tickets are now on sale for the annual All Ireland football final prize draw which includes 2 nights B&B at the Skylon Hotel and 2 tickets for the final located in the Cusack Stand. Tickets cost £2 each or £5 per book of 3. The draw will take place on Saturday 12th September at the Bingo.

It would be greatly appreciated if ticket sellers could return all sold tickets to the Hall on Friday evening from 7 – 7.30pm.

Date for the Diary

The club will be holding a Gala Night on Friday 26th February 2016 in Tullyglass, Ballymena. The event will incorporate the 90th anniversary of the club and Golden Anniversary of 66 & 67 Senior Championship winning teams. Price £600 per table of 10 people, dress code formal (not black tie).


Newbridge CCE Music Classes resume on 12th September 2015 in Anahorish Primary School with registration commencing at 10am. Classes currently offered are tin whistle/flute, banjo/mandolin, fiddle and concertina for all abilities. Other classes for guitar, bodhran, harp and piano may also be offered subject to demand.
