Seniors & Reserves
The seniors faced Ballinderry at home on Saturday afternoon and started brightly, controlling the opening quarter and opened up a 3 point lead after a Kevin Sweeney goal in the 13th minute however the team were left to rue lapses in concentration and a bit of luck as Ballinderry scored 3 of their own before the half time whistle to open a 7 point lead. The team were unable to take advantage of the strong breeze in the second half and their misery was compounded with a missed penalty midway through the half. Full time score Newbridge 1-11 Ballinderry 4-11.
Newbridge scorers were K Sweeney (1-00), Pete McGrogan (0-05), C Brooks, C Doherty, D McColgan, T Burke, O McGlone and E Burke (0-01 each).
The club wishes Kevin Sweeney a speedy recovery following a knee injury picked up in the first half.

All Ireland Draw
Tickets are now on sale for the annual All Ireland football final prize draw which includes 2 nights B&B at The Bonnington Hotel and 2 tickets for the final located in the Cusack Stand. Tickets cost £2 each or £5 per book of 3. The draw will take place on Saturday 25th August at the Bingo. Please return all sold tickets to Harry Gribbin prior to Friday 24th August.
In the interest of health and safety, there are to be no pets allowed on the football pitch grounds under any circumstances.
This week’s lotto numbers are 8, 23, 24 & 26 – there were no winners. Rory, Sinead Glover, Muldoon Boys and Eamon McGrogan each win £25. Next weeks jackpot is £1,500.
