On Wednesday the Seniors made the short journey to Bellaghy and despite having plenty of possession, were left to rue kicking a host of wides and were defeated on a scoreline of Newbridge 1-09 Bellaghy 1-14.
Newbridge scorers were; Paudie McGrogan (1-00), M Bateson, M McGrogan & Doherty (0-02 each) and P McGuigan, K Sweeney & J Diamond (0-01 each).
On Sunday the team welcomed Glen and the game was nip and tuck up until the 20th minute however 2 quick fire goals inside a minute from Glen turned the momentum and they ran out winners of a scoreline of Newbridge 2-12 Glen 3-18.
Newbridge scorers were Pete McGrogan (0-08), M Bateson (1-02), Paudie McGrogan, D Mulhollland and C Doherty (0-01 each).
The team now face Slaughtneil this weekend.

Paddy McGarry Memorial Tournament
The annual Paddy McGarry U8 Memorial tournament took place on Saturday with an enjoyable day had by all. Winners on the day were Cup – Glenullin, Shield – Newbridge and Player of the Tournament – Oisin Smyth. The committee wish to thank all the volunteers, referees, those who helped with catering etc and all the clubs who attended and took part in a great mornings football.
This years Cul Camp was a huge success with over 100 children in attendance. Thanks goes to all the helpers throughout the week and to the children for their participation.
All Ireland Draw
Tickets are now on sale for the annual All Ireland football final prize draw which includes 2 nights B&B at The Bonnington Hotel and 2 tickets for the final located in the Cusack Stand. Tickets cost £2 each or £5 per book of 3. The draw will take place on Saturday 25th August at the Bingo.
This week’s lotto numbers are 8, 15, 23 & 26 – there were no winners. T Scullion, Brian Devlin, John McElhone and Dom McMenemy each win £25. Next weeks jackpot is £1,400.
