Newbridge GAC Club Notes 28th May
The Senior footballers began a busy week away to Greenlough on Wednesday night. In a hard hitting affair that went right to the last kick of the game the bridge managed to salvage a point from a game which so easily could have gone the other way.
The final Score was Newbridge 1-8 to 0-11 Greenlough.
The Newbridge Scorers were Nathan Rocks 1-1, Peter McGrogan 0-3(2F), Jude Diamond, Eamon Burke, Kevin Sweeney, Dessie McColgan all 0-1.
The second game of the week saw Newbridge face Glen on Sunday at home. Unfortunately the bridge were defeated on a scoreline of Newbridge 0-13 to 0-18 Glen.
The Newbridge Scorers were Peter McGrogan 0-7(4F), Eamon Burke 0-1, Declan McKeever 0-1, Dessie McColgan 0-1, Jude Diamond 0-1(1F), Kevin Sweeney 0-1, Michael Bateson 0-1.
The Reserves also faced Glen on sunday after the senior game. They were defeated on a scoreline of 1-6 to 3-12

Newbridge Cul Camp
Newbridge Cul Camps takes place from the 25th to the 29th of July. For boys and girls aged 6 to 13. Anyone interested can find more information and register online at www.kelloggsculcamp.gaa.ie.
The club are considering hosting a Cardiac Screening clinic for 14 to 35 year olds perhaps in September. The Service is delivered by ‘Healthy Hearts Healthy Minds’ with more information available on their website. The cost is £35 per person and any Under 18’s must have parental consent. At this stage the club is gauging interest and must have a minimum of 30 people to proceed with the service. Any one wishing to take part in the screening can contact any committee member for further information as soon as possible.
