Seniors & Reserves
The seniors faced Glen at home on Monday evening in front of a large crowd and played with the strong breeze in the first half. Both teams exchanged points in the opening minutes before the Bridge found some momentum and opened a 2 point lead after 20minutes however found themselves harshly reduced to 14 men. Glen reduced the lead to 1 soon after however 2 frees from Peter McGrogan and an Odhran McGlone point left the Bridge 3 up at the break. Glen, with the wind at their backs, hit the first 5 scores of the 2nd half and were 2 ahead after 46 minutes. Ryan McElhone struck over a fine score in 48th minute and in the 51st minute converted a difficult free to level the game once more. Ciaran Brooks followed this up a minute later but again Glen hit back hitting the next 3 scores to leave them 2 ahead 2 minutes into injury time. At this stage it was going to take something special for the Bridge to get anything from the game and it happened as a sweeping team move was finished with Odhran Scott flicking the ball to the back of the Glen net. The game was not yet over as almost 4 minutes into injury time Glen leveled the game for the 6th time and this was final score of the game. F/t Newbridge 1-10 Glen 0-13.

The seniors, minus 7 of the team that played against Glen, made the short journey to Bellaghy on Sunday afternoon. The Bridge started brightest and opened up a 3 point lead after 10 minutes however from here until the 50th minute it was all Bellaghy who made their experience tell against a very young Newbridge team. The Bridge did finish the game strongest of the 2 teams however were well beaten on a scoreline of Newbridge 1-07 Bellaghy 0-18.
Newbridge scorers P McGrogan (1-05), PJ O’Neill and D McColgan (0-01 each).
